About the Academy
The BackBone-Academy has been founded
to offer the most comprehensive and current education in
manual therapy for animals. As any educational institution,
we will keep abreast of the most current research so that
it can be presented to the students and made part of the
curriculum as soon as possible. As of today, the traditional
veterinary and chiropractic educational system has not yet
met the need nor demand for animal chiropractic. Currently
there is no governing body, nor protection for the public
regarding animal chiropractic education or treatment in
most European countries.
It is our belief that the public would
be best served (as well as protected) if veterinarians and
human chiropractors with the best possible chiropractic
education do practise chiropractic as a healing modality.
For this reason our programs follow the standards of AVCA
(American Veterinary Chiropractic Association) and IVCA
(International Veterinary Chiropractic Association) and
our Academy is striving for close association with these
worldwide leading organizations in veterinary chiropractic
and their standards as well as for being a backbone of the
veterinary chiropractic education in Europe.
